Are you a member in good standing?

The Constitution of the Shoreham Civic Organization states, "All official meetings of the Organization require a quorum of the membership.  Ten members in good standing shall constitute a quorum at the Annual Meeting.  Five members in good standing shall constitute a quorum at special and regular meetings."

A member in good standing has (1) paid the annual dues and (2) attended at least three meetings during the year.  Since membership is by household, any adult member of the household can attend a meeting and have it count towards the three-meeting requirement.

The Civic is often asked to take a position on important issues.   A formal statement from the Civic usually carries more weight than individual comments, but without member participation, the officers and Board may be reluctant to take a public stand.  Please help the Civic to represent you by attending at least three meetings each year.

See you at the Civic!
